Born in Manitoba, Pamela's earliest memories are of being close to nature. In the 70's she made her way to the East Coast when she attended Mount Allison University and completed two years of the Fine Arts Program. As with many women, her art career was put on hold for some years with family commitments, and other work. For the past two years she has returned to painting and drawing.
She has participated in a number of local shows in Tatamagouche and Truro in the past two years. Her most recent solo show was a selection of works from life drawing sessions. It was held at “Fables” in Tatamagouche January 2009. Pamela has been working primarily in watercolour and has recently resumed painting in oils.
She lives on a small farm near Earltown, in the Cobequid Mountains. She shares it with her partner and an assortment of furred and feathered creatures. Check out 'The Figure Made the Landscape', her solo show at McCarthy Gallery in July! Opening July 2, 7pm, all welcome!
In August 2009 she teams up with Susan Sweet for the show "Rural Routes" at the Fraser Cultural Centre, Tatamagouche, N. S.
